According to reports, unrwa employees constitute 99% of locally recruited palestinians and they have been accused by Israel and their allies including the u.s. of having links to hamas. According to a report, between 2009-2018 only 2% of palestinian construction requests were approved, those building without permits face a constant risk of demolition.

Platonic Love

Plato’s theory of forms is a philosophical theory arguing that the physical world is chaotic, temporary and not as real as the non physical world which works independently of the physical world.

Platonism involves wanting the best possible outcome in any given situation and reaching out to the divine for the virtues needed to help. Plato’s idea of god is not as a single figure but a transcendent source, and according to Plato, his forms such as goodness and justice exist as god’s thoughts.

Many platonic notions were adopted by the christian church, but according to Plato the virtues bestowed last only as long as required for any given situation whilst in christianity the individual maintains the virtue he/she developed in a situation.

According to a report, the u.s. president will act as chairman of a new board of peace for Gaza as will middle east envoy Steve Witcoff and the president’s son in law, Jared Kushner. U.s. president suggests $100 billion investment into Venezuelan oil

According to a report, the u.s. have seized several tankers of Venezuelan oil this week and the Whitehouse said they are working to selectively reduce u.s. sanctions that have restricted sales. Reportedly, officials say they have been coordinating with Venezuela’s interim government led by their former vice president, but that they intend to exert control over the sales.

According to the report, Venezuela has had a complicated relationship with international oil firms since the first major oil field of importance was discovered in 1914, which was followed by a massive influx of foreign oil companies. Reportedly, ExxonMobile and ConocoPhilips had their assets seized in 2007 after they declined to restructure their holdings to give pdsa, Venezuela’s state oil company majority control. According to the report, two waves of oil industry nationalism in the 1970s and 2000s forced many of them to hurriedly withdraw from the country leaving behind huge losses that they have yet to recoup.

According to the report, the u.s. president has suggested a $100 billion investment into Venezuela’s oil industry, but no major financial commitments were forthcoming. Reportedly, leaders of the biggest u.s. oil firms said that Venezuela represented an enticing opportunity but significant changes from a commercial and legal standpoint and a government that can ensure security would be needed to make the region an attractive investment.

Ambassador to u.n. says Venezuela is victim of u.s. attacks because of natural resources

According to a report, u.s. strikes on Venezuela on Saturday have led to the capture of their president Nicolas Maduro and his wife, first lady Cilia Flores who in an unprecedented move were taken to New York’s metropolitan detention centre in Brooklyn to appear in court on Monday evening. Reportedly, though Venezuela has undoubtedly permitted drug trafficking from its airspace and shores, Colombia and Mexico who are bigger players seemed to attract less u.s. military focus.

According to reports, Venezuela owns the largest of the world’s proven oil reserves and regime change could pave the way for the return of major u.s. oil companies such as Exxon Mobile and ConocoPhilips who were expropiated in 2007 when the Venezuelan government nationalised their oil industry, requiring foreign companies to transfer operational control and accept less than 50% ownership in joint ventures with Venezuela’s state oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela.

Reportedly, Mr Maduro’s indictment alleges that he and other top venezuelan officials have for the past two decades worked closely with international drug organisations to ship illicit drugs into the u.s. while enriching themselves, and used illegal weapons, primarily machine guns to carry out the alleged conspiracy. According to the report, Mr Maduro who said he is a prisoner of war has pleaded not guilty and called the charges a tool to further imperial plans for getting access to Venezuela’s rich oil reserves.

Reportedly, u.s. actions are the culmination of an escalating pressure campaign over the past 12 months that has included sanctions and has led to condemnation by many latin american countries. According to the report, Venezuela has denounced u.s. military aggression and announced a state of national emergency, with the country’s vice president who has been sworn in as interim president and other cabinet ministers saying Mr Maduro is Venezuela’s sole legitimate president. Reportedly, the Venezuelan ambassador to the united nations said Venezuela is the victim of these attacks because of its natural resources.

The Early Church

In Matthew chapter 16 verse 18 Jesus said to Peter, You are the rock on which I will build my church. The early christian church was socialist, and Acts 5 describes a couple called Ananias and Saphire who sold their property in order to give to the church, but kept back part of the money. According to the text, they were confronted by Peter, died instantly after lying about the full proceeds from the sale and great fear seized the whole church so no one else dare join them.

Paul came to leadership. He was a pharisee and the son of a pharisee though his mother was unknown. In the biblical text, during the greek empire there was a policy of intermarriage and he is believed to have had greek connections, but was a roman citizen by birth, a status giving him unique rights and protections. He is documented to have persecuted the early church before joining it and becoming leader.

The roman emperor became christian following a battle for leadership between emperor Constantine the great and his rival Maxentius. According to the story, preceding the battle, Constantine thought he could see the letter P intersecting an X, generally believed to mean Peter died, on each of his soldiers’ shields. He decided that he would become christian if he won. He did and the church became suzerain

According to a report, the u.s has struck more than 30 vessels culminating in more than 110 deaths as part of what they allege to be a war on venezuelan drug trafficking. Reportedly, according to the u.s. military, the latest strike on Wednesday killed 5 people. According to a source, a drone strike carried out by the cia on Monday caused a major explosion, and if confirmed it would be the first strike inside Venezuela.

According to reports, Venezuela have a drug problem but Mr Maduro has accused the u.s. of using their war on drugs to depose him and access Venezuela’s vast oil reserves.

Mary, the mother of Jesus

Mary, the mother of Jesus was 3 years old when her parents presented her to the temple to be raised and educated for her future role, which was probably to be a wife to an essene, as Joseph was.

According to tradition, she lived in the care of the temple, studying scripture until at the age of 12 Joseph was chosen to be her husband. They got betrothed, and according to christian tradition she may have been around 14-16 when she conceived Jesus.

The essenes were a monastic sect, though some lived in the community as Joseph did. They were known for their strict purity and devotion to scripture. Some were scribes, and most scholars believe that the dead sea scrolls were written by essenes.

Joseph was a widower with children when he took Mary to his house.
Essenes were expected to be betrothed for atleast 3 years in order to get to know the woman well and ensure she was of the right character. Mary became pregnant before they got married, and according to the gospel of James, officers led them to the court to be questioned. Joseph said he had been pure towards Mary, Mary said she had known no man and the priests let them go, but they were probably judged by the community. According to christianity, the holy spirit impregnated Mary, but in Matthew chapter 1 and Luke chapter 3 the genealogy of Jesus has Joseph as his father.

Mary is revered in the catholic, eastern orthodox and oriental orthodox churches and highly respected in the anglican church. A feminist idea is that the focus on Mary as a perpetual virgin mother has been used to limit women’s roles within the church by presenting an impossible standard of womanhood, though priests may uphold Mary as a virgin in order to encourage women and girls to be pure.

Whether or not there was an immaculate conception may be a controversial topic but what matters is what Jesus came to do. In Luke 4 18:19 Jesus said, “The spirit of the Lord is upon me and has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor…..”
