New pro-life party

A new contender in the forthcoming election is Aontú; gaelic Irish for Unity, Aontú is a new, pro-life, all Ireland political party formed because of a schism within sinn féin a year ago. Ideology encompasses nationalism and reunification.

New peace plan brought forward

A new peace plan brought forward by Israel and the u.s. brings an estimated 1/3 of Samaria into Israeli control. The land in question is the so called occupied Jordan Valley. The term usually refers to just the lower course of the Jordan River from the Sea of Galilee to the Dead Sea. Said to include Jerusalem and The City of Jericho. The area specified is home to thousands of Palestinians who were not represented during discussions. The question is will Israel be friendly and civil, giving back the Palestinians their rights as Israeli citizens?

Greenway not green anymore

The as called Great Western greenway is the longest off-road walking and cycling track in Ireland. Forty two Kilometres long, it was designated a European destination of excellence. Beginning in Westport, County Mayo to coastal Mulranney where the track may divide to Ballycroy or to Achill. The track runs through different terrains and is regarded as unspoilt, but now farmers are asked not to use chemical sprays as there may be somthing wrong with the terrain in parts. Sprays kill the integrity of the grass, plus plants used as food for cattle and other species. Grass is insufficient. The area is home to wild goats.
The global pharmaceutical company, Allergan is situated on the edge of the greenway in Westport, and according to a report is opening a new facility, including a laboratory. Known for the manufacturing of chemicals to put into eyes or inject into skin. The long term effects are known to be detrimental.
Westport is described as Allergan’s largest and most complex production site. Opened in 1977. Some locals are concerned however about a chemical waste sign situated on a roundabout on the edge of the greenway, a few metres from the Allergan site. There are fears that chemical waste may infiltrate the water supply. A major cause for concern is the long term effects, especially for children growing up in the area.
Allergan have another manufacturing operation in Ireland, believed to be in Clonshaugh, Dublin.

The Serb Republic

The modern day Republic of Srpska or Serb republic was conquered by the Roman empire, but followed the east according to a documented schism within the Catholic church, said to involve an exchange of ideas about the trinity. Other reports document an individualized approach to protocol. According to the Roman empire, Serbia then included present day Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. According to documentation, Bosnia became part of the as called Hungarian crown lands. The Christian church of Bosnia may have become independent of east and west during this time.
The Bosnian war resulted in a nato presence. The peace agreement constructed in Dayton, u.s. resulted in the as called peace implementation council, established in London, 1995. In 1997, a meeting of the p.i.c. resulted in the provision of an office of high representatives with the power to dismiss any elected and non-elected officials who obstruct the Dayton agreement. The authority to dismiss opposers was later reversed but it is not known whether any changes were rectified.
Currently, the boundary line between Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, said to have been negotiated after the Bosnian war, has no active border. The Brčko district, which according to documentation seperates Srpska in to two entities may be of international concern. Kosovo, who became a u.n. administrated district in 1999, is now said to be independent. Srpska is believed to want to remain independent of Bosnia.

A reported Arab uprising precipitated the Sykes-Picot agreement, a thought to be Anglo-French treaty dividing Palestine. The Jewish population were promised civil and religious liberty. The potential for disagreement concerning the document was considered endless by one source, the text being described as too ambiguous.

Free Julian Assange

Wikileaks have been campaigning against Julian Assange’s extradition to the u.s. for some time now, but seem to lack a solution to the problem of wrongful imprisonment in a British prison.
The u.s. have failed to help even though the use of torture by the u.s. military has previously been admitted and even justified in the press. Some u.s. military personnel believe torture can be used in order to glean information that they say can save lives. Reported to have been used in Guantanamo Bay. If the military can discuss the use of torture in the press, is the use of torture as policy such a secret?

Homeless not entitled?

An estimated 1/3 of all Irish council houses are believed to be lying empty even though, as called tent villages of homeless people were reported in Dublin and Cork. Many have enquired of fine gael about the homeless situation versus accommodation lying vacant in Ireland over the past years, to be met with silence – even though figures substantiate no reason for homelessness. Politics of receiving a council dwelling of an acceptable standard is not always understood by everyone, some of whom receive preferential treatment.

The crisis of homelessness in Ireland was believed to be the criteria for the new housing assistance payment, but the buying up of properties by n.a.m.a may have resulted in thought to be unprecedented scarcity of rental accommodation available to Irish residents.
