The black and tans

According to a report, on 19 March 1921 the black and tans entered the little village of Glenhest as a gang of armed and masked men. They were hunting for two ira volunteers, Patrick Marley and William Chambers who escaped capture and punishment that day. Reportedly the larger mission was to intimidate those who supported the armed struggle for an Irish republic. According to the report there was sexual violence against women and girls, a dark secret of the war of independence, not really talked about. The ira have been accused of the same. Not believed by everyone.

Sudanese conflict

Sudan joined the u.n. in 1956. Reportedly the first Sudanese war began in 1955. In 2011 Sudan split forming the autonomous region of south Sudan consisting of 10 states. South Sudan got the oil reserves. The ensuing wars concerned disputed oil regions. The 1972 Addis Ababa accords agreed to share oil revenue. War broke out when the agreement failed to materialise. Over forty six percent of the population of Sudan live in poverty.

New diet for cattle emmisions and health

According to a report farmers are worried about covid, eu common agricultural policy reforms and the current climate bill. Cattle emissions could be curtailed with an eating plan, subsidising an inadequate diet of grass with grain. A little good quality oil should be added to stop dryness and for added vitamins and minerals.

Men accused of Kevin Lunney assault plead not guilty

According to a report, four men accused of abducting and assaulting Quinn Industrial Holdings managing director Kevin Lunney are pleading not guilty. One is accused of making a phone call during the assault on a mobile number ending in 567. The man denies any involvment in the crime. His lawyers are disputing the link.

Mr Kaunda dies

Kenneth Kaunda, a former president of Zambia has died in a hospital in Lusaka where he was admitted on Monday. Reportedly Mr Kaunda who was a teacher founded the United National Independence party. He is remembered as one of a generation who fought against colonial rule.

Zambia once formed part of northern Rhodesia. For most of the colonial period the area was governed by the British South Africa company.

Right and left achieve balance

Peter and Paul were both recognised as early church leaders. Peter is known as the first pope in the catholic and eastern orthodox churches. He shared the leadership with Paul according to Coptic Christian writings. Peter’s papacy is not recognised by the protestant churches.

Peter and Paul were seemingly poles apart. Peter along with James, brother of Jesus, known as James the just was socialist; Paul suzeraine. The book of the Acts of the Apostles document the mysterious deaths of people who sold their property and failed to donate all the proceeds to the poor during Peter’s reign. Did the early Christian socialists go too far?

Peter and Paul share a feast day on June 29. Might be indicative of today’s trend of centralist governments which include both right and left wing politicians.

There are three months to go before the German general election and according to a report many germans are ready for a change. An alternative to the Christian democratic union is the Social Democratic party. One election issue will be the pandemic debt, similar elsewhere, and reportedly a german digital transformation which the Christian democratic union manifesto is keeping quiet about. Digital transformation is a connection between the public and private sector. Everything will be overseen. Seemingly it has been delayed.

North Korea struggle with un security council sanctions

According to a report north Korean leader Kim Jong-un is encouraging agricultural production as the country tries to cope with stringent u.n. security council sanctions. Reportedly, various trade bans have been put into action because of north Korea’s nuclear program, though the uk, us and various others have nuclear programs. Some have been accused of performing nuclear tests in the Pacific.

Peruvian election

According to a report the results of the Peruvian general election earlier this month were made known yesterday with the relatively unknown Pedro Castillo 44, 058 votes ahead of his rival Keiko Fujimori, first lady of Peru who claims the results are fraudulent.

New dup leader

According to a report, despite an estimated 75% backing, Edwin Poots nominated Paul Givan as northern Ireland’s first minister at a meeting in Stormont today.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday Leo Varadker spoke about the prospect of a United Ireland being possible within his lifetime. Brexit protocol means a natural separation must occur.
