Syria’s oil industry

There is news of a deal between the Syrian government and Kurds living in the area. Details unclear.
The war in Syria, said to have begun in March 2011 as part of the as called Arab spring protests, is documented as ongoing. Three components seem to be or seemed to be present. A major influence is what is percieved to be the u.n., supposedly fighting the Syrian government and ISIS. Many ISIS fighters are locked up but should soon be released as part of a peace plan.

Protests in Iran

Protesters in Iran were said to have set fire to numerous branches of Iranian banks, according to the media.
Iranians have been protesting against the economic situation and may be criticising the government who have plans for a new state internet according to one source. Extensive u.n. sanctions are probably the reason for poverty and hardship.
Sanctions are documented to have targeted the petroleum industry. The u.n. appears to be overseeing the Central Bank of Iran, reportedly with regard to banking and insurance transactions. Shipping restrictions have been reported, details unclear. Internet services may have been affected according to documentation.

The legacy of Curtis Lemay

Curtis Lemay is of English Saxon heritage. He was born in 1906. His father was an iron worker and labourer who had to travel around for work. Eventually they settled in Columbus, Ohio. Lemay studied civil engineering at the Columbus state university. He was always interested in the military and in 1929 he joined the air force. In 1934 he got married.

He trained in aviation and in air to air combat under Caleb V. Haynes and at the outset of the war in 1939, became his navigator on what was described as heavy bombing campaigns. He was promoted rapidly. By 1940 he was documented to be a commander of the newly formed 305th bomb group based in England. He become renowned in air to air combat and in 1943, became commander of the newly formed 3rd air division. Said to be one of the two largest air combat groups during the war, they are believed to have concentrated their campaigns on German communication centres.

A strategy had been planned to beat the Japanese by as called chiefs of staff, and according to legislation, in 1944 Lemay was transferred to the orient. Lemay filmed poor Chinese who may have been forced, building an airbase with little or no tools. Films have been shown recently as part of a series.

The Japanese offensive targeted steel factories in order to cripple the Japanese war effort. Railroad facilities were targeted for communication purposes. A large area was reported to be bombed unspecifically, leading to much loss of civilian lives. Lemay assumed command of the Japanese offensive on July 7, 1944 between the first and second bombing campaigns as described. Lemay is documented to have commanded incendiary bombings on 67 Japanese cities; and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945.

Postwar, formerly a supporter of Richard Nixon, Lemay is said to have been approached by the then recently formed american party, formerly the american independence party, linked by some to the UK conservative party which was believed to have been formed as the result of a schism with the republican party. Curtis Lemay was candidate for vice president but was thought by some to be an extremist even though his war time exploits were probably not widely known.

Documents leaked pertaining to human rights abuses during the Iraqi war are believed to be classified. No trace of them remains on the internet. Besides this, wikileaks plus family and friends of Julian Assange are campaigning against extradition. Meanwhile Sweden was reported to have dropped the rape investigations, means he is now able to travel to Sweden.

Libya

According to reports, the first Libyan civil war began in 2011 with seemingly a protest. Protests in the middle east around this time were believed to be western influenced. An incident that is documented to have escalated into civil war was said to have begun when students staged a protest resulting in a military crackdown. Children were shot according to one source, when tanks were mobilised, supposedly into residential areas, and protesters were targeted. A number of government officials are believed to have resigned over the incident.
The reign of Muammar Gadaffi began in 1969 with a so called bloodless coup which ousted the western influenced King Idris. Gadaffi was a nationalist, determined not to concede to the west. He is reported to have nationalised the oil industry and supported national ideals in other states. United nations sanctions were imposed according to reports in the 1970’s, details unknown. Also, various councils opposed to his regime were documented. Sanctions may be ongoing. Refer to OFAC, the office of foreign assets control.
The introduction of a no-fly zone in March 2011 was followed by an, as called NATO air strike on Tripoli. The strike was reported to have struck the house of Gadaffi’s sixth son, Saif Gadaffi, killing himself and three children.
An as called national transitional council killed Muammar Gadaffi later that year, replacing the government.
The n.t.c. introduced the general national congress in 2012 which was not recognised. Since 2014, a new party, the national salvation government was formed; said to be supported by opposers of the new council. The house of representatives, according to documentation were elected in 2014. Turnout was reported at 18%, down 42% from the first post-Gadaffi election of 2012.
The house of representatives, in spite of opposition, voted to extend their term of office beyond the proposed October 2015 deadline. There are no reports of further elections. In late 2014 a new political party was formed, also called the general national congress which is not recognised by the house of representatives. An as called second Libyan civil war is documented to be an ongoing conflict between warring factions for control of Libya’s oil.

More die in protests

Last night, according to news atleast fifteen people died after being shot in Baghdad, reportedly near a main protest area.
Protesters, according to various reports are occupying bridges that lead to the as called green zone, or international zone, which is believed to be heavily fortified.
The Iraqi prime minister is reported to have resigned and may have left the area. The international zone, as called, is said to contain government buildings. It is not known wether any Iraqi officials remain in the area.

Hundreds reported killed in Iraq

Operation Okra is a supposed u.n. deployment of Australian land and sea forces as a part of joint task force 633 which began in 2003 and is still ongoing. The deployment is said to operate in the Persian Gulf and Iraq and believed to be unpopular with Iraqis, many of whom have been murdered, according to reports, supposedly while protesting.
The Iraqi prime minister, who previously asked for a three day mourning period following deadly protests, reportedly in October, is yet to comment. There is news of an internet shutdown.

Hybrid warfare, a new concept exposed

Hybrid warfare as described, refers to military and extra military strategies such as political warfare, that is targeting a party or policy. Irregular warfare such as cyber warfare; surveillance, viruses, the interception of messages, blocking of access etc. Influencing methods; media influence, as called diplomacy such as who your friends will be. Lawfare, new legislation. Foreign electoral intervention and interference. Support of local unrest. information warfare and propaganda.
Environmental warfare such as contaminating water supplies.
Infiltration of government and agencies resulting in political, value, cultural, social, information and technological changes.
Use of drugs. Economic strategies such as creating a financial crisis and the mass buying of property with the goal of creating an accomodation crisis.
Colonialisation.
Entomological warfare, usually in conjunction with germ warfare. Special forces, paramilitary forces; murder, criminality.

The effects of war

Thousands are said to have rallied against violence towards women last week in France. A new word is now in standard use, femicide, and statistics reveal that 116 women have been killed by their current or former partner in France this year.
France is said to have one of Europe’s highest domestic violence rates and according to news, has launched a 3 month conference on domestic abuse. It is not known wether figures have risen since France joined the wars in the middle east. France, along with Germany was a major critic of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Then news was they were fighting in the frontline. The effects of war may be a resolution towards violence.
