According to a report, An Taisce, the national trust for Ireland are leading the way to ban dogs from Ireland’s 83 blue flag beaches.
Reportedly, under criterion 23, beach access by dogs and other domestic animals must be restricted to the parking areas, walkways and promenades of inland beach areas.
A happy medium would be the leaving of faeces prohibited and dogs being kept on a lead unless swimming.
