The as called conflict in Yemen is thought to have begun in 2012. Reportedly a conflict between the Yemeni government, al qaeda an as described rebel group believed to be funded by Saudi Arabia, and the united states; it is being described as a war on terror even though reports were of a joint innitiative to transport Yemen’s oil, thought to be to America.
According to reports the situation in Yemen is resulting in a famine. Many are believed to have died because of unsafe water. Humanity for Relief and Development is believed to have been founded by childhood friends who saw the suffering and wanted to help. The mission is to provide food and safe drinking water to all. HDR was founded by Maeen Ali who describes himself as a humanitarian, Ali Muharram, an as described peace and humanitarian advocate and Khalil Refai, a youth coordinator. All are Yemeni American citizens. Hend Anbar is manager. Reportedly the first project was bringing a reasonable water supply to a number of villages. The situation in Yemen is being descibed as the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today, estimated to be affecting 17 million people. Both Saudi and the united states have been accused by a media representative of taking Yemen’s oil.
