According to reports, Transnistria is an unrecognised breakaway state bordering Moldova and Ukraine. Reportedly, in 1990 the region of the pridnestrovian Moldavian soviet socialist republic was formed in the eastern region of Moldova by pro russian seperatists, became the pridnestrovian Moldavian republic, or Transnistria.
Reportedly, Transnistria is only recognized by three other breakaway regions of former soviet states. According to a report, the region is a frozen conflict zone, armed conflict has been brought to an end but no peace treaty.
