According to a news report there has been a slowing down of corona virus indicators in southern Ireland, but more progress is needed in tackling outbreaks in nursing and residential homes. The primary focus has been testing staff in all residential care settings, and the HSE are believed to be making good progress in the acquisition of personal protective clothing for staff members.
The decision of whether to ease current restrictions, due to end in seven days time on May 5, it is believed will be in the hands of the as called National Public Health Emergency Team who reportedly will make a formal recommendation to the government on whether lockdown can be scaled back. Terms of membership to this expert group, unknown.
