Right and left achieve balance

Peter and Paul were both recognised as early church leaders. Peter is known as the first pope in the catholic and eastern orthodox churches. He shared the leadership with Paul according to Coptic Christian writings. Peter’s papacy is not recognised by the protestant churches.

Peter and Paul were seemingly poles apart. Peter along with James, brother of Jesus, known as James the just was socialist; Paul suzeraine. The book of the Acts of the Apostles document the mysterious deaths of people who sold their property and failed to donate all the proceeds to the poor during Peter’s reign. Did the early Christian socialists go too far?

Peter and Paul share a feast day on June 29. Might be indicative of today’s trend of centralist governments which include both right and left wing politicians.
