Some academic changes regarding the ecumenical movement with regard to the catholic church is seemingly a revision of philosophy, dogma, and some say biblical themes. Most versions of the bible were first translated into Greek, and from Greek to the King James version. Western versions of the bible were updated from the king James version, the Jerusalem bible seemingly being the exception which is believed to have been directly translated from Hebrew. The Jerusalem bible has been replaced by the new Jerusalem bible. May not be entirely loyal to the principles. An example is the quote, ‘one should not lie with a man as with a woman’. According to some, the complete quote is, ‘One should not lie with a man as with a woman in the Temple of Mordecai’. Thought to be written by the father of Mordecai.
