Referendum to recognise the first people of Australia

According to a report, colonisation began in Australia in 1788 when a fleet of british ships arrived to establish a prison colony. Reportedly, other colonies were established, people went to Australia because of gold rushes. According to the report, the transportation of british convicts was phased out between 1840 and 1868,

Reportedly, the prime minister of Australia said he expects public support to grow for the aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voice, an indegenous voice. According to a report, he has set a date, not as yet announced for a referendum in 2023. Reportedly, if successful it would entail a change to the constitution to enshrine an indegenous voice to parliament, enabling aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people to represent the views of indegenous communities.
