According to a report, Dehli is the most polluted capital in the world and India the third most polluted country after Bangladesh and Pakistan. Reportedly, experts say rapid industrialisation combined with weak enforcement of environmental laws have played major roles.
According to the report, IQAir said India’s average level of fine particulate matter that can clog lungs was 54.4 micrograms per cubic metre, and Dehli 92.7 mg per cubic metre. Reportedly, air that has 12-15 micrograms per cubic metre is considered safe.
According to the report, Beguserai and Guwahati were the most polluted cities in the world. Reportedly, only seven countries passed, these are Australia, New Zealand, Granada, iceland, Mauritius, Estonia and Finland.
