An application for an exploration license may have been submitted by Predator oil and gas, a fossil fuel exploration company for an area in Corrib south, 18 km from the Corrib gas field. According to a report, last week Predator said they were evaluating the Corrib gas field as a possible acquisition of interest. Reportedly Predator are hoping to build a floating liquefied natural gas terminal 50 km off the coast of county Cork.
