Peace process – Let northern Ireland choose

The as called good Friday agreement, termed the peace process seems to rest on a no border policy between north and south as a given. The absence of a border or even a border poll is apparent as a prevalent feature of what is termed by some as the Belfast agreement. There have been veiled threats of dissidents if the border goes ahead which it must if Ireland is to stay in the eu. Threats such as this may be counteracted by giving the north the right to choose where they want to be, with regard to a united Ireland as a part of Europe, or the u.k.

With regard to the recent unprecedented rise of British contingents settling in Eire, if the no border policy goes ahead no doubt the next step will be a referendum for Ireland to become part of the United Kingdom.
