According to a report, in Nagorno-Karabakh thousands of armenians are without food and shelter and many are displaced from villages and sleeping in tents or in the open air in the main city known as Khankendi by Azerbaijan. Reportedly, Khankendi hosts a base for russian peacekeepers, five of whom were killed during the fighting. According to the report, Azerbaijan said it was working with russian peacekeepers to disarm armenian militants, one of its demands in return for a ceasefire. Reportedly, Azerbaijan showed off weapons such as a few tanks and many guns captured when armenian militants agreed to disarm.

According to the report, the region has been under armenian control for three decades and armenians have asked for a u.n. mission to monitor the rights of armenians living in Karabakh now, saying their very existence is under threat. Reportedly, Azerbaijan who deny the accusation say they envisage an amnesty for armenian militants who give up their arms, who can leave for Armenia if they choose. According to the report, Armenia has set up facilities to take in thousands of armenians from Karabakh.

Israeli prime minister speaks to u.n.

In his speech to the u.n. general assembly on Friday the israeli prime minister urged palestinians to reconcile themselves to the state of Israel. He began with an analogy of two israeli mountains, mount Gerizim, the site on which a great blessing would be proclaimed, and mount Ebal, the site of a great curse. He said that the blessing was the enjoyment of peace and prosperity, the curse, war, terrorism and despair.

He went on to talk about the possibility of normalising relations with Saudi Arabia, and said that palestinians could benefit from a broader peace and should be part of the process. He said that making peace with more arab states would increase the prospect of making peace between Israel and palestinians. He went on to say that relations with Saudi Arabia have warmed and that he is looking forward to a historic peace and the end of the arab israeli conflict. He said that peace agreements with the United Arab emirates, Bahraine, Sudan and Morrocco have boosted trade and investment.

He talked about peace and what it means to him, an end to the horrors of war. And he talked about the benefits and dreams of artificial intelligence. He said that Israel is to be a major hub in trade routes connecting europe to India, Africa and beyond. Could be controvesial.

Conflict in Nagorno-Karabach

According to a report, the Azerbaijan army has moved towards the major city of Karabakh as Armenians flee. Reportedly, many families have been seperated and many do not know if their relatives are alive. According to the report, atleast 200 Armenians of Karabakh and 100 Azerbaijan soldiers have been killed this week.

Reportedly, there have been boundary conflicts between Armenians and Azerbaijan since the fall of the russian empire which coincided with the end of the first world war. According to reports, the three main ethnic groups in the region tried to get on, but following an attempt to form a government the region split into Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Reportedly, the british backed Azerbaijan in the Paris peace convention of 1920 which rewrote the map of europe and elsewhere.

According to reports, thousands have lost their lives in wars in Karabakh. Reportedly, the first war between Armenians living in Karabakh and the Azerbaijan republic backed by the soviet union resulted in an Armenian victory. According to the report, the region’s parliament voted in favour of uniting with Armenia, but a public referendum voted in favour of independence and the Artsakh republic was born.

The second war in Artsakh/Karabakh erupted in 2020. Reportedly, Azerbaijans were accused of ethnic cleansing. According to reports, an Azerbaijan victory resulted in clashes with the police and territorial conflict.

Long range missiles

According to a report, the u.s. plans to give Ukraine advanced long range missiles with a range of up to 300 km to help Kyiv in its ongoing counter offensive. Reportedly, Ukraine will get a small number of army tactical missile system missiles (atacms), some say will be supplied with cluster bomblets rather than a single warhead, the weapons will be sent in the coming weeks. According to the report, Kyiv has been asking for long range missiles in order to target russian supply lines well behind the front line. Israeli prime minister meets the president of the u.s.

According to a report, a meeting took place between the u.s. president and the prime minister of Israel in New York this week. Reportedly, twelve members of Mr Netanyahu’s government wrote him an open letter warning him not to make any concessions towards a two state solution which they are against, but a normalisation of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel was the focus of the meeting. Mr Netanyahu stressed that with u.s. leadership normalisation was possible, but the u.s. brokered Abraham accords only resulted in two sheepish delegates from Bahrain and the United Arab emirates coming forward to shake hands.

According to the report, Israel is luke warm about Saudi’s reward for normalisation, a civilian, possibly commercial nuclear plan for uranium enrichment on arabian soil. If that is a reward.

Former president’s son charged

According to a report, the former president of Gabon, Mr Ondimba’s son Noureddin Bongo Valentin and several members of his cabinet have been charged with high treason and jailed, they have also been charged with corruption. Reportedly, Mr Valentin who was the former president’s spokesman was formally charged on Tuesday and remanded in custody.

According to the report, the new regime have accused the former government of massive misappropriation of public funds. Reportedly, the military arrested Mr Valentin and five other young senior officials on the day of the coup. According to the report, searches of their homes, broadcast on state tv found suitcases and bags filled with banknotes. Reportedly, the former president’s wife was placed under house arrest but Mr Ondimba is free to come and go as he pleases.

Pact

According to reports, three former french colonies, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger have signed a mutual aid pact. Reportedly, the Liptako-Gourma charter, named after the region they all share creates the alliance of Sahel countries. According to the report, its aim is to establish an architecture of collective defence and mutual assistance for the people, read the malian leader’s social media text.

Militancy was rife when France was in control, they were asked to leave Mali and Burkina Faso, but in Mali they have been replaced by wagner, and though not much has changed, a russian delegation has held talks this month on the possibility of a russian military presence in Burkina Faso.

Reportedly, protestors in Niger are demanding that french troops leave. According to reports, Niger’s leaders has asked the french ambassador to leave, who has complained of a lack of services.

New proposals

According to a report, the president of the european union put forward the following proposals in her state of the union speech. A proposal for a new strategy for Africa. A proposal to reduce the red tape required for businesses, and to help smaller businesses with an envoy. A proposal to invest €50 billion in Ukraine. A proposal to be adaptable with regard to eu rule of law and enlargement, the green deal and a proposal to invest in artificial intelligence, entails the programming of new computers. AI enables the computer to make the decisions. Common in Britain.

Nagorno-Karabakh

According to a report, weakened by a months long blockade of the only route connecting Karabakh to Armenia and without significant international support, armenian residents of Karabakh were unable to stop Azerbaijan making quick territorial gains, and after 24 hours of fighting they agreed to a ceasefire. Reportedly, four peacekeepers were killed in shelling, the president of Azerbaijan has expressed his condolences. According to the report, the Russia brokered peace discussions between the two governments lasted several hours, after which the Azerbaijan presidential office said that talks had concluded and that fuel, medical supplies and humanitarian aid would be sent to Karabakh.

According to the report, discussions concerned the peaceful reintegration of Karabakh into Azerbaijan and under the terms of the agreement Azerbaijan committed to be disbanded and disarmed, but Armenians say the brokered ceasefire has been broken. Reportedly, small arms gun fire could be heard on a video that showed people running for cover in the region’s major city, and other reports of fire elsewhere. Azerbaijan deny this.

According to the report, Azerbaijan intend to bring Karabakh where 120,000 armenians live, under complete control. Reportedly, Azerbaijan’s president said that the country had restored its sovereignty in the region for the first time in decades.

According to the report, the armenian government said it wasn’t prepared for mass evacuations and that armenians should be allowed to live safely in their homes. It is unclear whether armenian forces are present in the area. Reportedly, the u.n. security council were due to discuss the situation on Thursday.

The history of tobacco

Tobacco is derived from the leaves of the nicotiana plant which is of the nightshade family and indigenous to America.
