U.n. resolution

According to a report, at 14:00 the u.n. security council was scheduled to vote on a draft resolution put forward by ten non permanent members of the security council that will demand an immediate truce in Gaza. Reportedly, the members are Algeria, Guyana, Ecuador, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, south Korea and Switzerland. According to the report, the new text to be voted on has been worked on with the u.s. to avoid a veto. Reportedly, it demands an immediate ceasefire for the month of ramadan leading to a permanent sustainable ceasefire.

According to the report, several Gaza resolutions have been vetoed in previous months due to disagreements between the five permanent members. Reportedly, the new resolution is clear and shorter than previous ones.

Some hostages freed

Reportedly, suspected air infiltration sirens in the occupied Golan Heights were false alarms, Lebanon’s hezbollah and Israel has regularly exchanged fire over their mutual border since October 7, hezbollah often targets the Golan Heights.

Russia Ukraine

According to the report, many of the attacks which began at 05.00 were repelled by ukrainian air defence systems. Reportedly, about a dozen missiles have been destroyed over Kyiv where there have been no reports of any injuries or damage.

According to the report, the rrussian installed governor of Sevastopol in Crimea said Russia had shot down ten ukrainian missiles over the city on Saturday night, an office building and a gas line were destroyed.

U.s. secretary of state’s visit

According to a report, in a meeting with the u.s. secretary of state the israeli prime minister said he deeply appreciated the fact that the u.s. and Israel had stood together for five months in the war against hamas, and that they need to evacuate the civilian population from the war zone and take care of humanitarian needs, which they are working on. Reportedly, unable to leave Gaza, people are living in tent camps and overflowing u.n. shelters.
