There has since been 1,500 cases of the virus confirmed. The Habsburgs

The first documented use of the name Habsburg dates back to 1108 and is derived from saxon high German. The family reportedly gained more influence through intermarriage and Habsburg or Hawks castle, Switzerland was the family seat during the 11th, 12th and 13th Centuries.

The Habsburgs were described as an empire in europe, and count Rudolph IV who lived during the 13th Century was said to be one of the most influential landlords from France northwards including half of the eastern Alps. He was elected king of the romans, also becoming Rudolph I of Germany. The throne of the holy roman empire was mainly occupied by Habsburgs until its dissolution in 1806. In 1916, Charles, emporer of Austria-Hungary was the last Habsburg to be crowned king. Two years later, following the first world war, he and his family were exiled to Switzerland. Following two attempts to revive the monarchy he was made with his family to board hms Cardiff to Madeira. Reportedly he died in Madeira at the age of thirty five. His oldest son, Otto was nine.

According to a source many Austrians regret the way the Habsburgs were treated following the first world war. Charles’s son Dr Otto Von Habsburg became active in politics from the 1930’s. In the liturgy of his funeral in 2011 there was a knocking ceremony, published online.

Atilla and the Huns

Atilla the Hun was leader of an empire from 435-453. His army is said to have also contained Austrogoths and Alans previously defeated in battle. According to reports they became feared enemies of the eastern and western roman empire, probably due to many military campaigns in europe and the middle east. Their reputation may have stemmed from reports that they took over churches and monasteries and murdered many priests and maidens.

Following the death of their uncle, brothers Atilla and Bleda made a treaty with Byzantines of the eastern roman empire which they later broke. They fought the neo Persian empire and invaded Armenia but were defeated. Reportedly Armenia was then invaded by persians. Vandals captured Carthage, thought to be an important roman stronghold and Huns vacated the Balkans to counter attack. Huns who were seemingly a great power by the time of Atilla’s reign were described as both slaves and masters to the roman empire. Reportedly Huns considered the romans as paying tribute while Rome viewed payments as for services. Following invasions during the 440’s, Atilla married the sister of Roman emporer Valentinian III, who also seemingly made him senior military officer.

There are various theories as to the origin of Atilla and the Huns. Huns are said by one source to have crossed the Volga river during the 370’s, but may have originated from modern day Bulgaria, possibly leaving Bulgaria folowing a feud.

He has reportedly criticised the world trade organisation and nato, though seemingly no action taken.

Confusingly he opposed another u.n. contingent, Turkey in backing Kurds. A disappointment was the breakdown of trade talks with China; and he reportedly backed Hungary who are protesting the eu rule of law, that is acceptable standards for consumers.
