According to a report, the u.s. state department has authorised the departure of some u.s. embassy employees who wish to leave Ukraine, and ordered family members of government employees at the embassy in Kyiv to leave Ukraine. Reportedly, the uk have removed some embassy staff and their families, but the eu’s representative for foreign affairs said he is not planning a similar move.
According to the report, Ukraine’s foreign affairs minister stated, ‘There have been no radical changes in the security situation recently, the threat of new waves of russian aggression has remained constant since 2014, and the accumulation of russian troops near the border began in April last year. Reportedly, the eu are offering Ukraine a €1.2 billion aid package.
