Reportedly, their decision follows a statement by the u.s. security advisor that new forces are building up at the border, and a russian invasion could come within the week, though he admitted the u.s. do not have definitive information that the russian president has ordered an invasion.
According to the report, the uk foreign office advised against all travel to Ukraine, and to anyone choosing to remain in the country, be vigilante and ensure their travel documents are up to date.
Reportedly, the Norwegia ministry of foreign affairs advised against all travel within 250 km of the Ukraine border and not to travel to Belarus, except to Minsk.
According to the report, the european external affairs service said, we continue to assess the situation as it develops, in line with the duty of care we have to our staff and in close consultation with eu member nations. We are not evacuating. For the time being, the non essential staff were given the opportunity to telework from outside the country.
