New lesson Russia

According to a report, a new russian school text book has been designed for a series of new lessons entitled fundamentals of security and defence of the motherland. Reportedly, former soldiers are expected to teach the lesson and some of those returning from the war have been offered free training courses to become teachers. According to the report, the subject which will replace the lesson, fundamentals of safe living will be a compulsory one day a week course.

Reportedly, the first textbook for the new lesson is filled with stories describing the heroics of russian soldiers from the 13th Century until the present day. According to the report, the book’s authors cover Joseph Stalin, world war 2 and the seizing of Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula in 2014, a section is devoted to Russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine. Reportedly, according to the book, following Russia’s invasion the ukrainian government initiated a crackdown on anything russian, the authors said it was Ukraine and nato who planned to start the war.

According to the report, another section of the book starts with an overview of the structure of the russian armed forces and calls for over 18s to enlist. Reportedly, Russia does not give details of loss of life during the war with Ukraine.
