According to reports, Patrick Kielty is scheduled to be the new host of the Late Late show. Patrick was born in northern Ireland and is the son of John Kielty who was shot dead by the Ulster defence Association. According to some sources Mr Kielty was to be a witness in a tv station’s defence of a libel action brought by a loyalist paramilitary figure for defamation.
Reportedly, Patrick is a comedian who began performing while at Queen’s university, Belfast. He went to St Patrick’s grammar school, Downpatrick and was encouraged to perform by a teacher who liked his impersonations. He is married to Cat Deeley, english tv presenter.
