New land route for aid

According to a report, a new land route has been used to deliver food to northern Gaza for the first time in three weeks. Reportedly, the idf said six lorries from the world food program crossed via a gate in the Gaza border fence to reach the north and deliver enough food for 25,000 people in Gaza city. According to the report, israeli officials carried out prior checks at the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Reportedly, the charity boat, ‘Open Arms’ set sail from Cyprus on Tuesday, but access by road proves to be the quickest way to get food aid to Gaza.
