According to a report, post-acute covid 19 syndrome, otherwise known as long covid is linked to the aggregate of gut micro-organisms.
Reportedly, an investigation was performed by analysing the stool samples of 106 patients with varying degrees of covid severity and a comparison group of 68 people.
Long covid can invade the gut via post nasal drip or cattarh. Fatigue is the most common symptom.
