According to a report, the Khazahkstan president has given security forces orders to shoot to kill as unrest continues amid news of hundreds protesting against governance in Almaty, Khazahkstan, and the arrival of russian led troops.
Khazahkstan borders Russia, China, the Kyrgys republic, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, former soviet republics who are predominantly sunni muslim, joined the u.n. following the dissolution of the soviet union in 1990.
