Kamala Harris

According to reports, Kamala Harris who is supported by 1,976 Democratic delegates becomes the party’s presidential nominee, but another vote is needed to make it official. Reportedly, Ms Harris was born in 1964, her mother was a distinguished indian biologist and her father, a professor of economics was said to be of afro jamaican ancestry.

According to a report, she began a law career in the office of the district attorney in Alameda county and in 2003 was elected district attorney of San Francisco, in 2010 she became attorney general of California.

Reportedly, as a senator Ms Harris was in favour of gun control laws and supported the right to work of immigrant minors once they reached adulthood. According to the report, she became known for her questioning of Trump administration officials during hearings.

Reportedly, Ms Harris who has no challengers sought the presidential nomination in 2020 but withdrew, Joe Biden selected her as his running mate and she became vice president in 2021.
