According to a report, a meeting took place between the u.s. president and the prime minister of Israel in New York this week. Reportedly, twelve members of Mr Netanyahu’s government wrote him an open letter warning him not to make any concessions towards a two state solution which they are against, but a normalisation of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel was the focus of the meeting. Mr Netanyahu stressed that with u.s. leadership normalisation was possible, but the u.s. brokered Abraham accords only resulted in two sheepish delegates from Bahrain and the United Arab emirates coming forward to shake hands.
According to the report, Israel is luke warm about Saudi’s reward for normalisation, a civilian, possibly commercial nuclear plan for uranium enrichment on arabian soil. If that is a reward.
