According to a report, democrats haven’t supported Joe Biden concerning funding to Ukraine but have prevented a shutdown of congress. Reportedly, the senate has approved a stopgap measure that maintains government funding at current levels until November 17. According to the report, the funding which received approval on Saturday with a vote of 335-91 in the house of representatives and 88-9 in the senate is for the sum of $16 billion for natural disasters and lacks any provision for military aid.
Meanwhile, according to reports, u.s. house speaker Kevin McCarthy has been voted out, the first time in history a house speaker has been voted out.
