Fine gael/Labour coalition policies skyrocket homelessness

According to news Joan Burton cut social housing spending by a massive 72% apparently between 2008 and 2012. The new conditional rent supplement cap, being unattainabley low is believed to be the other main reason for homelessness in Ireland which has seemingly rocketed and is out of control. Figures are hard to trust in a system where the homeless are sometimes asked to sign forms to say they are availing of emergency accommodation which may then turn out to be unsuitable and unliveable; some are told by local councils that there are no homeless services, and the unknown quantity sleeping rough are apparently not included in official government figures. With an estimated third of social housing accommodation vacant, is it time for entrepreneurs and professional cleaning and renovating companies to get busy?
