Divisions due to concerns about ethics

Divisions within the catholic church are thought to be the result of differing opinions concerning the church’s direction. Described as differences between traditionalists and reformists, changes have been seen by some to be too sweeping, and the question of ethics and leadership largely ignored.

Differences are thought to be connected to the church’s relationship with the world. For over a decade Bishops have been concerned about an elite that controls the majority. According to one source a recent open letter addressed to all catholics and people of good will suggested a conspiracy to use the coronavirus pandemic to restrict people’s basic rights unjustifiably and disproportionately. According to the source, the letter continued with a warning that imposing lockdowns was a disturbing prelude to a realisation of a world government beyond all control. The letter which has reportedly been signed by an arch Bishop and other agreeing members of the clergy, has been described as guerrilla tactics by a supposed supporter of the new system, and writer of the report.
