Central bank of Ireland

According to reports the central bank of Ireland are fining the AIB two million, two hundred and seventy thousand euros for six breaches of failing to deal with money laundering or the funding of terrorist activities, allegedly occurring between 2010 and 2014.

Traditionally the cbI has been responsible for Irish banking legislation but is now thought to be governed by British legislation rather than conforming to eu or previous Irish standards; for instance with regard to the sharing of information and other protocol which is authoritarian and lacks transparency and trust, leading to abuse. It is not known why British legislation is being allowed to dominate.
