Brain chips

According to a report, Elon Musk’s brain chip company, Neurolink has implanted a chip into the brain of Noland Arbaugh who was paralysed below the shoulders following a diving accident. Reportedly, this enabled Mr Arbaugh to use a cursor, who said he used the chip to play a video game and online chess. According to the report, Neurolink’s device is about the size of a one pound coin, it can read neuron activity and beam back a wireless signal.

Reportedly, other companies have used chips in paralysed people to enable them to walk by placing chips in the brain and spine which wirelessly communicates to the legs and feet.

According to the report, every time we want to think, speak or move, an electric impulse is generated and sent quickly from one neuron to another, scientists have developed devices that can detect some of those signals. Reportedly, the technology generates millions of dollars for research.
