According to a report, atleast eleven labourers were killed in an attack in Pakistan’s north western region when an improvised explosive device exploded under their vehicle. Reportedly, the workers were travelling to an army post that was under construction near the Afghan border. According to the report, no group has immediately admitted responsibility.
Reportedly, Pakistan has seen a resurgence of armed groups since last year when a ceasefire between the outlawed group Pakistan taliban (ttp) and the government broke down. According to the report, last month isis-k claimed responsibility for a large blast at a political rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district that killed 63. Reportedly, more than 300 attacks have hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province this year with a majority claimed by the ttp. According to the report, the ttp was founded in 2007, it operates independently from the afghan taliban.
