According to a report the president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko claims last summer’s protests, said to be the largest protests in twenty seven years were part of a western plot to replace him.
Reportedly following talks in Moscow, Belarus and Russia have agreed to move towards shared monetary policies and a common agricultural policy. According to the report the prime minister of Belarus has approved programmes towards trade with Russia, joint ventures and coordinated programmes to support national producers.
