Reportedly, the opposition Republican people’s party have defeated Mr Erdogan’s conservative party in major cities such as Ankara, Istanbul, Adana, Bursa and Antalya which were all strongholds of the conservative party. According to the report, observers called it the conservative party’s worst defeat since they took power in 2002.
