3,800 kg cocaine smuggled to Canary Islands

According to a report, more than 40 people have been arrested following a major drugs trafficking raid.

Ukraine destroys 34% of Russia’s cruise missiles

According to a report, russian and ukrainian delegates are meeting in Istanbul on Monday for peace talks, but expectations are low.

Reportedly, Ukraine said that on Sunday it destroyed 40 russian war planes, that is 34% of Russia’s cruise missile carriers in an operation targeting 4 military bases.

According to the report, Ukraine first smuggled drones into Russia followed by mobile wooden cabins. Reportedly, 117 drones were hidden in the cabins which had remotely operated roofs and were hidden on trucks brought near the airbases until they were opened remotely. According to the report, people involved in the operation left prior to the attack.

New Proposal

Israel prohibit meeting on palestinian statehood

According to a report, Israel would not consent to travel to Samaria for ministers from Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates who planned to travel from Jordan to attend a meeting in Ramallah to discuss the establishment of a palestinian state.

U.S. Credit Rating Downgraded

According to a report, the u.s. government have lost their last perfect credit rating from ratings firm Moody’s who expressed concern about the government’s ability to repay their debt. Reportedly, Moody’s said that successive u.s. administrations have failed to reverse ballooning deficits and interest costs.

According to the report, the country’s previous triple A rating signified the highest possible credit reliability, indicating good financial health and a strong capacity to repay their debts. Reportedly, Moody’s warned in 2023 that the rating was at risk. According to the report, the u.s. were downgraded by S & P global ratings in 2011 and Fitch ratings in 2023, but have held a perfect credit rating from Moody’s since 1917.

Hamas reject new deal

According to a report, hamas have rejected a new ceasefire plan brokered by the u.s. and backed by Israel. Reportedly, the deal would have seen the release of 10 living hostages and the bodies of 18 dead hostages in exchange for a 60 day ceasefire and the release of palestinian prisoners.

According to the report, hamas are believed to be still holding 58 hostages, atleast 20 of whom are thought to be alive. Reportedly, hamas said they are ready to return all of those held captive in exchange for a complete end to
hostilities. According to the report, Israel has secured the return of 197 hostages, 148 of them alive.

Reportedly, Israel who imposed a blockade on Gaza and resumed their military offensive against hamas on 18 March following the collapse of ceasefire talks are allowing some aid into Gaza, but scenes of chaos have ensued at aid distribution centres.

Court rules against tariffs

According to a report, the republican administration has asked the court of international trade to delay Wesnesday’s order blocking the president ‘s tariffs, warning that enforcement of the ruling will cause a foreign policy disaster scenario. Reportedly, three judges found the tariffs to be too extreme and not meeting the condition of being an unusual and extraordinary threat that would allow the president to act alone, stating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act which the president used does not give him unlimited power to impose tariffs.
