Reportedly when Israel took back the west bank in 1967 Palestinian fighters moved their bases to Jordan. During the Jordanian occupation, Palestinians were said to have made up part of a government of east and west bank. Reported battles with Israel resulted in the support of Arabs, said to be for recruitment and financial aid. Acting independently of Jordan possibly brought conflict between the plo and the Jordanian armed forces. According to a report Jordan allowed Palestinians to leave for Lebanon via Syria.

The plo were said to be opposed to the Lebanese government. According to a report the Lebanese civil war was a conflict between sunni and shia muslims, and christians who were the majority in government. Reportedly Israel entered Lebanon in 1982 following several exchanges with the plo, and fought alongside a christian dominated army. They were said to have forcibly deported the plo in 1983. An outcome of the war was the Taif agreement and a balanced power share of christians and muslims. Israel withdrew in 2000. Reportedly, in 2005 Lebanese prime minister Rafic Hariri was killed by a bomb attack, dna evidence suggested it may have been the work of a young male suicide bomber. Syria withdrew from Lebanon the same year.

Reportedly a cross border raid by hezbolla in 2006 began an Israeli-Hezbolla conflict in Lebanon, Israel and the Golan heights. According to reports it resulted in the deaths of up to 1,300 Lebanese and 165 Israelis, and severely damaged civil infrastructure resulting in around a million Lebanese and 300-500,000 Israelis being displaced.

Hezbolla was said to have emerged from shia clerics in a model set out by Ayatolla Khomeini following the Iranian revolution. Reportedly sunnis disagree with the agenda. Said to be pro nationalism, hezbolla supports shia minorities, is active in Samaria, has seats in the Lebanese government and is said to be part of the united Iraqi coalition.

Palestinians living in southern Lebanon are said to be strictly controlled by hezbolla. Reportedly rocket attacks on 5 August were the fourth of a series targeting Israel over three months, resulting in Israeli airstrikes, the first against Lebanon since 2006. Hezbolla have admitted responsibility for the latest attack.

In 2014, according to a report the cia estimated there were 20,000-31,500 members of isis in Iraq and Syria. Christians were being persecuted. The dumping of nuclear waste in the Arctic was said to be having an impact on human health and the environment. Ozone depletion according to a report in May 2020 was at an unprecedented level. The u.n. sponsored treaty on the non proliferation of nuclear weapons was reportedly established to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and to further the goal of achieving nuclear disarmament. It was signed in 1968 by the usa, soviet union and the uk, and since ratified by others. According to published data, among the signatories of the nuclear non proliferation treaty the usa have 1,700 deployed and 5,550 total nuclear warheads; Russia have 1,600 deployed and 6,257 in total; China unknown; France 280 deployed, 290 actual; the uk 120 deployed 225 actual.

According to reports new pre trial proceedings are due to begin for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Ramzi bin al Shibh, Mustafa Ahmad al Hawsawi, Ali Abdel Azis Ali and Walid bin Attash accused in connection with the September 11 attacks.

Reportedly the prosecution claimed Walid bin Atash aided in the preparation of the east Africa u.s. embassy bombings of 1998, the u.s. Cole bombing of 2000 and was previously a bodyguard for Osama bin Laden. He was formally charged with selecting and helping to train several of the September 11 hijackers.

According to reports, u.s. officials claimed Ali Abdel Azis Ali was a lieutenant who assisted his uncle Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in executing the 9/11 attacks. Mustafa Ahmad al Hawsawi was reportedly charged with being involved in the planning and execution of the 9/11 attacks. Ramzi bin al Shibh was said to have tried to enrol in a Florida flight school. According to a report he was believed to be a missing fifth member of the hijacking team on the fourth plane that crashed, and was suspected of planning other suicide attacks.

According to reports the five defendants have been detained in Guantanamo, Cuba for nearly 15 years.

According to the government’s new Housing for All plan, around 4,000 affordable homes will be made available to buy, 2,000 to rent and said to be 10,000 social homes will be made available for low income families per year until 2030.

Reportedly the csu operate for Bavaria within the centre right Christian democratic union party. Elections are planned for 26 September. According to their website the Linke are in favour of a reshaping of the social and economic system and a society that promotes self-determination, peace, dignity and welfare.
