The United Socialist Party of Venezuela or PSUV have installed a new legislator in Luis Parra. Troops barred the u.s. backed Guaido from entering parliament. According to the media, Trump demanded that Nicolas Maduro, who was elected democratically, leave office nearly a year ago. He has served as president of the PSUV since 2013 following the death of Hugo Chávez.
During the past twenty years of rule, the PSUV are said to have managed to take back control of the judiciary.
