Mahsma’s mother said ‘she is gone…gone’.

According to reports, the death of a 22 year old kurdish girl Mahsma Amini in Iranian police custody incited weeks of protests in the country and globally. Reportedly, Mahsma who is from Sanandaj in western Iran was arrested by Tehran’s morality police outside the Haghani metro station on September 13, the authorities say for improper hijab. She was with a man who according to a report was her brother. Reportedly, morality police told the man she was being taken for an educational and orientation class. She died on 16 September.

According to a report, there are several recent incidents of police using unlawful force against women. Reportedly, the morality police, the islamic religious police force in Iran are due for reform. A suggestion is that women should look after other females in police custody in Iran and throughout the world. Re
