According to reports, three men were rescued by a u.s. coastguard from an island in Micronesia in the Pacific ocean after they sent a message for help using palm leaves. Reportedly, they had been detailed as missing after they went missing during a trip to the uninhabited coral island of Pikelot. According to the report, the men set off from Polewat atoll on Easter Sunday in a 6 metre boat, after failing to return a relative informed the coastguard that her uncles were missing.
Reportedly, searchers noticed the sign, airdropped a radio and survival packages, and a vessel made its way to the island.
