Irish free state

Following the death of Michael Collins in 1923, the president of the free state, William Thomas Cosgrave appointed thought to be Ulster loyalist Ernest Blythe as minister for finance. £10 million was reportedly payable to the u.k. as a condition of the free state.

Current president Michael Higgins is said to have addressed united nations issues via videolink in a convention beginning yesterday commemorating 75 years since the end of the second world war. He criticised the world bank and the international monetary fund. No details. The international monetary fund deals with third world debt. The current minister for finance is believed to have studied at Trinity University, though Trinity isn’t a university of nationalist sentiments.
