According to recent news, Ireland’s open border policy with northern Ireland and Britain has resulted in Ireland being omitted from lists of recommended places to visit, reportedly in Germany and the Netherlands.
Britain reportedly believe that post Brexit Ireland should prefer to maintain an open border policy with Britain for historic reasons, rather than their eu commitments. Adamant objectors to a border, the absence of which is not really feasible after Brexit are believed to be parties in favour of a united Ireland under British control. On the other hand there may be a movement amongst the people towards nationalism, in view of ethics, civil rights etc.
